A U S Army letter from Steele Cantrell in Rosecrans California assures his mother no troops will be sent to Europe despite tensions with Germany. He notes no German ships nearby, tight security around armaments, and optimism that they are seven thousand miles from danger.
The program for Sunday February fifteenth at 5 p m features a devotional theme Educational opening with Stand Up For Jesus and the Apostles Creed. Mary Freeman and Willie Ross share scripture followed by Gloria Patri and the Lord s Prayer in concert. Additional songs include Just When I Need Him Most and Minnie Willis leads the reading with Ben Sturdivant. Corine Lilley serves as leader.

A ruling to John W. Wray states property owners only may vote in the proposed tick eradication election in Tarrant County. The ruling also says possession of a poll tax receipt will not be required.
Eight year old Phillip Norris was injured when a car driven by Mrs. Kay Kimbell struck him after a companion shoved him into the path of the vehicle as school had just dismissed. Authorities ruled the driver blameless and the boy is resting and expected to recover.
Hon. D. S. McMillin, the Whitewright representative, reports several bills favoring junior agricultural colleges are before the legislature and Whitewright may be invited to host one. He seeks a definite offer from the city to back the effort, as other cities already present flattering propositions.
Katy outlines extensive property improvements in Whitewright and nearby. Work train stays until completion, crossings being improved with gravel, right of way north and south ditched and raised for new heavy steel rails, yard tracks to be raised and repaired during the project.

A Sunday night fire on Sherman Square damaged Pollack's east side dry goods and clothing stock valued at 25 000 by about 16 500. The adjoining building owned by W C Eubank sustained roughly 3 500 in damage. Insurance covers both losses, amount unspecified. The blaze started on the second story and was discovered there.
