Mrs Beulah Billner 79 died at her home Tuesday night after a months long illness. Funeral services were to be held at Barnheart Chapel with Rev Fred Waldrop and Rev C C Dooley, burial at Sunnyside Cemetery Savoy. She was born near Trenton December 25 1878 and married to W J Billner May 31 1896. He died in 1938. She was a Baptist Church member. Surviving are two daughters Bessie Mae Pritchett and Elsie Hodges, one son Oscar Billner, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Forney Henry 72 died Tuesday of last week in a Slaton hospital after a heart attack. Funeral services were held at the Slaton Methodist Church and burial was in Tech Memorial Park, Lubbock. A former Whitewright resident, he had lived in Slaton since 1916. Survived by his wife three sons Clifford Pat Henry of Lubbock Willard Henry of Morton Graf ton Henry of Las Cruces N M seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Texas public welfare records show a milestone as federal social security rolls exceed state old age assistance. On January 1 1948 34 527 people received $707 650 monthly. by January 1 1950 the federal rolls reached 240 323 paid $11 916 645 monthly while state recipients grew to 222 538 totaling $10 097 233. The shift marks 93 of 254 counties where social security beneficiaries outnumbered state pensioners.
