Texas Education Leader Bruce B. Cobb Dies at 83
Bruce B. Cobb, 83, a Whitewright native who spent over 50 years in Texas public school leadership, died December 25 in an Amarillo hospital. Born 1874, he studied at Grayson College and earned two UT degrees. He served as secretary treasurer of the Texas State Teachers Association from 1935 to 1950 before moving to Claude. He is survived by his wife Ira Culton and several siblings.
