Christmas memory and heavy toll calls at General Telephone

Christmas Creche Tradition in Catholic Europe
The nativity scene traces to St. Francis of Assisi who reportedly gained papal permission to recreate the Bethlehem stable. The crib, with the Holy Family, Wise Men, shepherds and animals, contrasts with the American Christmas tree. In the Southern Hemisphere Christmas falls in summer with picnics and turkey dinners, as families vacation at beaches or hills.
