Funeral services for J L McSpedden will be at First Baptist Church Whitewright at 1 30 p m Wednesday December 24 with Rev Weldon R Drake officiating Interment in Oak Hill Cemetery Pallbearers include J P Darwin Roy Blanton B W Newman Grover Stateville Grady Gillett and Clay Horton McSpedden a World War I veteran spent time in Ashburn Veterans Hospital in McKinney He was a member of First Baptist Masonic Lodge and American Legion survived by wife two sons and several siblings all residents of Pilot Grove, McSpedden was born there and married Lillian Matthews in 1927.

Burial for Mrs Lucy Wimpee in City Cemetery
Mrs Lucy M Wimpee died in Dallas Friday and burial was Sunday at City Cemetery. She moved from Whitewright to Greenville 27 years ago and lived there until a year ago before moving to Dallas. Funeral services in Greenville were at 1 30 p m conducted by Rev Victor K Aubrey. She was the widow of the late W H Wimpee who operated a blacksmith shop in White.

Trenton Man Dies in House Fire West of Town
John Hill, a noted Trenton farmer and ginner, perished when his seven room home near Trenton burned Sunday night around 1 am. His wife was away visiting relatives. The blaze, which also consumed the garage and an automobile, caused about 20000 dollars in losses, likely started from a defective butane gas tank. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Trenton Methodist Church. He was born July 22, 1897, and survived by his mother widow five sisters and one brother and his wife Beulah Nicholson.
