Opinion on funding a small town library in Whitewright
The piece argues that Whitewright's weak library hampers education and that meeting minimum standards for state and federal aid requires a $5,000 annual budget, with $2,500 from local taxes. It notes city contributions and volunteer efforts suffice for building and utilities, and stresses that surpassing standards allows access to grants and loan programs.
