R. R. Higginbotham was buried Wednesday in a Glade water cemetery. He was a brother of Mrs. Grover Stuterville of Whitewright.
William Howard Stokes, 76, of Leonard died Monday in a Greenville hospital. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Leonard Baptist Church with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery. He was born January 25, 1891, in Hickory Creek, married Nan Robbins in 1914, and was a retired farmer and deacon. Surviving include his wife, two sons Clarence and Joe, two brothers, two sisters, and one grandchild.
The Presbyterian Missionary Society met at Mrs. T. E. Sears for its annual Christmas program. Members heard readings and songs led by Mrs. Gray and others, with prayers and refreshments for 11 attendees. The next gathering is January 8 at Mrs. H. H. Sears.

The site is the former Joe Rich ice house, sold for 4500 dollars. The facility will have 2675 square feet of floor space, parking and loading areas, and completion is set for July 1, 1968.
