Ben Roberts arrived home Saturday from Torreon Mexico about two hundred miles from the Texas border where he set up and delivered nineteen gasoline tractors to large plantation owners. A good roads district has been laid off at Trenton and on the 22nd an election will decide on issuing 70000 in bonds for road construction. If approved the Jefferson Highway route remains. if not the connecting link at Trenton may divert the national highway through Bonham affecting Whitewright’s interest.

He suffered serious injuries and the car was badly damaged. Farmers saw wheat prospects improve as rain and sun changed the outlook easing earlier unease. A box supper is planned at Ely school house Friday night December 14 to raise proceeds for the school.
