The Buckner Orphans Home in Dallas invites all to donate to the December Cash Shower. Founded 89 years ago, the institution cared for about 12 000 orphans with around 700 residents yearly from across Texas. Donations should arrive before Father Buckner's birthday on January 3, marked to the cash shower.

A. F. Jones aged 31 died at 7:50 am last Saturday at his parents home in Bethel. He had suffered over a year with an illness unresponsive to treatment. Survived by parents and eight siblings G W Jones M W Jones Ray Jones Frank Jones Mrs J L Denton Mrs O G Alexander and Mrs Sam Beckett. Funeral held at Bethel Baptist church Sunday at 2 pm conducted by Rev G R McCraw and Rev I E Teague, burial in nearby cemetery.
Mary McCollom and Burgher Everheart united in marriage at the home of the bride’s parents in Trenton. The ceremony drew many relatives and friends with music by Gilmore Webster and Lucille Southerland. Afterward the couple planned to live on a ranch near Mobeetie, Texas, and received gifts including a $300check from the bride’s father.

The body of Mrs. M Landrum aged 89 was brought by automobile hearse from Greenville to Whitewright and interred at Oak Hill Cemetery Thursday. Rev J F Fender and friends assisted in burial. She had lived in Whitewright before moving to Henderson Texas about fifteen years ago. her husband died in 1896.
