Mechanized farming blamed for global farm depressions
A Minneapolis report by Eugen Altschul and Frederick Strauss links mechanization to three major farm downturns in 125 years. They say large scale machinery requires min acreages for profit, and price drops reduce returns. They warn of persistent low mood without reduced production in key wheat regions and rising demand, noting real estate swings, debt, and trade issues as contributors. A separate item mentions nomads in Outer Mongolia and an automatic governor powered bicycle light generator on a front fork.
