Funeral for Hugh Tim Arterberry Today
Funeral services for Hugh Tim Arterberry Jr. son of Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Arterberry will be held at 3:30 p.m. at the Church of Christ with Elder Leroy Brownlow and Rev. Joe M. Connally presiding. The body lies in state from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Pallbearers include Guy Hamilton and N L Manning. honorary pallbearers list local schoolmates. Born May 12 1927, he attended Whitewright grade school and was in fifth grade. he was baptized last summer and was a Church of Christ member. He is survived by his parents and one sister Sara Kathryn Arterberry plus a grandfather J F Arterberry of Tompkinsville, Ky. the McMillin family were grandparents.

Mrs Bettie Malsch sister of Mrs W L White of the Canaan community north of Whitewright died Monday morning at the home of her daughter Mrs J E Johnston at Maramec Okla She was born July 22 1857 and was the daughter of the late Mrs A S Bowles pioneer of the Whitewright area She is survived by one son John Marsh and three daughters Mrs Annie M Kindt Mrs J E Johnston and Mrs Carrie Hutchins plus one brother and three sisters W A Bowles Mrs T R Davidson Mrs Ida Lewis and Mrs W L White

Farmer buys truck with pennies and dimes in Texas town
Dalhart resident Farmer John Paul bought a new truck to haul payments. He made the down payment with his old truck and 3,000 dimes. Dimes funded each subsequent payment except the last, which used 3,650 pennies. The load weighed about 5 pounds.

Auto accident victim buried near Bonham
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Grove Hill Church near Bonham for Homer G. Leslie, 40, who died in a Sherman hospital Monday from injuries sustained in an automobile crash on Highway 82 between Sherman and Bells. Burial was in Grove Hill Cemetery. Walter Whitt, 28, also in the crash, is hospitalized with a fractured left leg. Leslie, born in Fannin County in 1897, is survived by his parents, four brothers, a sister, and a daughter. A separate note mentions a film apparatus claimed to record every sound in a room for a day with timestamp.

Dr M M Morrison Dies at Denison
Dr M M Morrison a 65 year old physician of Denison died Tuesday noon after a sudden illness. Surviving are his wife three daughters Mrs Vanda McCarthy Ardmore Miss Anna May Morrison and Mrs C H Weaver Los Angeles four sons Hunter Denison Tom Los Angeles Gene and Ralston Morrison Fort Worth. Born March 17 1872 in Denbridge Tennessee he moved to Texas in 1895 and began practice at Elmont later in Van Alstyne and Denison. He served in the medical corps in World War and actively supported political campaigns and the Red River dam project for Denison.
