A heavy wind and rainstorm in McKinney Texas lasting about half an hour caused extensive damage. Show windows of J B Sneed Book Store and Cheeves Dry Goods Co were blown out, trees ripped up, chimneys torn from buildings, and tops blown from parked cars. Cotton crop damage reported.

The Home Ice and Manufacturing Co. office safe was robbed last Sunday or Sunday night of about 236 dollars. About 100 dollars in small customer checks were taken. the thief used the safe combination but did not disturb the cash register change.
