Bank Bowling Team Secures Sixth in State Tourney
The First National Bank of Whitewright bowling team finished sixth in the state tournament held in Longview. Team captain Sally Cureton led Whitewright with teammates Peggy Vaughn, Dean Hertzog, Evelyn Coble, and Beverly Johnson of Sherman. Coble and Vaughn placed 10th in doubles, while Coble, Hertzog, and Johnson earned prize money in singles. The event began in April in Longview.
