Bonham, April 25. Drillers at the Eefor site are working toward bringing in an oil well within days. The new management reports the sand shows oil as tests progress, with water drawn out carefully to avoid casing collapse. If successful, Bonham will enter the oil field with a likely high quality product and a long lived well.
Sherman April 25 George W Acton county school superintendent warned that Texas rural schools face serious need without a special legislative session for new school funds. State superintendent Annie Webb Blanton said current $10 per pupil would replace last year’s $13, risking longer terms or higher taxes. Urban districts would feel less impact. Baby chick sale notice follows from Glenn Doss seeking four to five day old chicks by Friday.
J R Oliver, a noted Duroc breeder north of town, paid $250 for a seven month old Duroc Jersey pig from Ed M Kern of Stanton Nebraska.
