Grandfather fatally shoots boy mistaking him for a duck
McKinney, April 25. Jimmie Rutledge, fifteen, was shot in the head by his grandfather J W Burk, seventy, while fishing near East Fork. The gun misfire occurred as Burk, hunting along the bank, mistook the top of the boy's head for a duck. Burk reloaded, approached the site, and found his error. The boy died almost instantly.

A hail and windstorm struck Henrietta Texas at 7 30 pm on Tuesday damaging buildings valued at 200 000 dollars. Sherman April 24 A jail delivery was narrowly prevented when Jailer Ross Stark and Deputy Sheriff Brinkley found bars in cell No 3 cut through by three men, the Davidson brothers and Roy Snow of Denison. Tools and soap filled bars indicated an expert job. The men face highway robbery trials. Robert Davidson was sentenced to five years.

Youth Hurt in McKinney Baseball Accident
