Clyde Brown 52 of Whitewright died at Bonham VA Hospital at 3 a m. Funeral services were set for 2 30 p m at Earnheart chapel with Rev. Houston Garner and Rev. Bruce Cushman officiating. Interment Wittitoe Cemetery. Survived by wife Mary Copeland two stepsons two daughters a stepdaughter two brothers three sisters and two grandchildren.
Mrs. F. E. Douglas 78 longtime Whitewright resident died suddenly of a heart attack Sunday while en route to church. Funeral services were held in Graham. Born January 29 1884 in Whitewright she married F. E. Douglas in 1908. The couple lived in Tom Bean Whitewright and Graham with Mr. Douglas serving as bank vice president. Surviving are her husband four sisters and a brother.
Ward reports the death of Mrs Frank Heath 48 of Wichita Falls a Whitewright native daughter of the late Wade Sears known as Baby Wade. She worked for 17 years at the First National Bank in Wichita Falls. Survived by husband Frank mother one sister Mrs Cathrine Davis Perryton one brother W T Sears Bells.
A posse captured a horse thief and prepared to hang him when a bystander asked to pray for him. The deputy angrily refused, saying the man was not fit to live in Texas and should not be allowed into Heaven.
Students have sold all tickets for Western Week events at Whitewright. The climax includes skits by high school classes in the gym and ends with crowning a king and queen and the Western Week Variety Show at 8 o clock Friday night with prizes for best dressed cowboy and cowgirl.

Participants must divert at least 20 percent of their feed grain base and can receive payments and price support on diverted acres. an advance may equal about half the total payment.
