The South Bend Times reports Thomas M. Walker, Marshall County recorder, died Sunday leaving a county shortage of about 83 009. He allegedly falsified reports for three years, drank heavily, and left no property with only 23 000 for a wife and five children. Bondsmen may cover the deficit. debts total 5 000 to 6 000.
