Death of Goldie Barnard at 19 in Westville community
Goldie Pearl Barnard eldest daughter of Orlando and Mrs Barnard died at home 3 miles west of Westville on Tuesday November 28 1899 from diabetes aged 19. She was vivacious and kind with a bright school record at Westville High. Funeral at home with classmates as pallbearers and relatives from Neponset Chicago Town and Richmond. She rests at Quakerdom cemetery.

Joseph Sarver born April 2 1816 in Fulton county Penno died February 5 1900 at his son Isaah’s Porter county home aged 83 years 9 months 7 days. He married Catherine Glass in 1814 Pennsylvania later moved to Laporte then Porter counties where he lived until death. Six children James Samuel E Jennie Tsaib John Katy present at passing. He joined the Christian association at age twenty and lived as a faithful member. Mrs Sarver died in 1856 and he resided with Issih since then. Community notes a good citizen and loving father to his children.
