A retailer announces a May sale highlighting large reductions on coats and suits after late arrivals left stockier than expected following an early rush. The notice emphasizes heavy stock levels and a push to clear inventory.
Seventy six Trego County students completed eight grade and high school work with baccalaureate sermons, class plays, and addresses. Rev Dr Allison delivered the theme To be Rather Than to Seem to Be urging honesty over deception. Music came from a local double quartet of graduates. Eight grade exercises were held at the courthouse with red and white colors and the national flag for decor.
Wa Keeney crowd honors graduates with music, speeches, and a two piano performance. Mrs Hattie Moore Mitchell delivered Three Times Three addressing yesterdays todays and tomorrows. E F Iblad of Bethany College spoke on The Man of Tomorrow. Diplomas presented by J H Niesley. Alumni banquet follows as field sports progress. World office wires its first electric power run amid minor production notes.
