Decoration Day arrangements involve merchants closing Thursday May 30 1918 and a cemetery procession at 1 00 p m from Court House park. A program will be at the Fair Grounds. committees were named to report to the club president. Attendance at a box supper raised 110 for the second Red Cross war fund drive with nineteen participants.

Troutman to speak at Fair Grounds Red Cross rally
Hon James A Troutman of Topeka, noted speaker, will deliver a Red Cross address at the Fair Grounds at 2 30 Sunday afternoon May 19th with special music under Mrs J H Niesley and other features. He will also speak that evening at the hall in Ogallahala. The meetings support the second Red Cross War Fund drive and urge a strong turnout.

Lenora Osterkamp-Fritts Dies After Illness in 1918
Lenora Osterkamp-Fritts wife of Robert E. Fritts died May 8 1918 at St Anthony's hospital Hays after pneumonia followed birth of her infant. Born July 22 1895 in Rick Hill Missouri she grew up in Keeney and taught in Trego and Graham counties. Funeral held at Presbyterian church conducted by Rev Allison. She leaves husband infant son sister father and many friends. For sale typewriter advertised at World office.
