Feeney Death Marks Kind Irish Immigrant Matriarch

Mrs Louise Feeney aged 90 years and 7 months died December 29 1909 after a long life in Boyle Ireland born, married to John Feeney in 1836, came to America in 1846. Survived by five children, lived in Colorado, cared for by Jol Feeney and Mrs Beardwell, joined Roman Catholic church, known for visiting the sick and poor. Funeral at Presbyterian church conducted by Rev Allison, community offers sympathy.

Government thermometer readings for Wa Keeney cover the week ending Wednesday noon with temperatures from 22 to below zero. Winter remains severe with a record cold spell in December 1909 and a monthly average near 20 degrees above zero for the area.
