Weather slowed loading at the Kansas City Stock Yards on January 3 1911 leaving light cattle supply of 7000 head. Prices ranged strong to up about ten cents with prime steers at 6.30 to 6.50 and cows 3.75 to 5.00. Hog run 6000 head 15 higher with bulk at 7.95 to 8.05 and top 9.05. Sheep and lambs firmer though market mixed with gains and January receipts forecast below three year average. Booths oysters offered at Baker’s 50c quart.

Died at Ogallan Jessie Harrison at four years old
