DAD BOWER LOSES MATCH TO SON IN birthday bout

Ottawa Kansas, Jan 1. Ross Bower on his twenty first birthday threw his father William Bower for the first time in a three bout match. The elder man won the first round, but Ross captured rounds two and three on the lawn venue. Family watched as Ralph refereed and Mrs Bower brushed them off. Ross is a junior end for the university football team.

Cattle and Hog Prices Hold Steady in Kansas City Market

Kansas City Stock Yards report for January 10, 1911 notes cattle supply below yesterday’s guesses, with heavy red steers softer and prime lots at top figures. Obituary and Robbery Report From Hill City Area

Hiram Miller Davidson died at home in Ogallab January 191. Born February 1852 in New York he moved to Wisconsin then Trego county. Funeral by Rev. Clemens drew a large crowd to Ogallah cemetery. A wife two daughters a son and a brother survive. Also reported is a late night armed robbery near Milbrook township where Chester King was abducted tied gagged and driven 12 miles to Sheridan county before being found. About 95.90 was stolen. investigators have little leads. Abstracts of title offered by W. El. Swiggett.
