Obituary of Joshua Groft from WaKeeney Kansas
Joshua Groft born December 23 1844 in Indiana County Pennsylvania died December 2 1920 in WaKeeney Kansas aged near seventy six. He served in the Union Army twice and later became a preacher coal dealer coroner justice of the peace and police judge. Survived by three daughters and five sons his funeral was held at the Presbyterian church with a military burial and flag at half mast. Also notes Yale Non-Partisan League and a light joke exchange about a diamond gift.

Plans include a full basement, modern heating and ventilation, gymnasium, toilets, lockers, and rooms for manual training and domestic science. A visiting Red Cross nurse examined 493 pupils across twenty districts in nine days of work. The effort covered districts 1 2 3 7 8 9 12 14 16 21 22 23 24 28 32 37 41 46 48 and 58 with long drives on rough roads. Of those examined 86 showed no defects, 40 had defective hearing, and 71 had defective vision.
