Local Thanksgiving Wedding Unites Thelms Lynn and Lawrence Benson
Thelms Lynn married Lawrence Benson of Kansas City at the Lynn home on Thanksgiving evening. Rev. Grant Mann performed the ring ceremony after a DeKoven song. Attendants were Hazel Lynn and Bernard Benson. Guests included W. S. Courtney and Dr Herrick. The bride, a 1917 graduate of Trego County High, taught school and worked for John Deere Plow Co. The groom, a Kansas City native and Spaldings alum, served as a World War II sergeant and works for Missouri Pacific Railway. They plan to reside in Kansas City after December 15. A new home basement project is underway near Mrs. A. B. Jones’s residence.

Goldie Gorrell played Mendelssohn's Wedding March and a three course turkey dinner followed. The couple left on train No 108 for Denver and will reside in Wakeeney.
