Salina Aug 5 Rev Wayne K Stainaker pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church at Ellis has been jailed in Hays county for criminal assault on his 12 year old niece who lived with his family. The girl daughter of Stainaker's deceased brother was under his care per the brother's deathbed wish. The case follows a neighbor report and a preliminary hearing will be held after bail set at five thousand dollars. The minister resigned from a prior Florida pastorate amid irregularities and is said to owe many local business people. The incident comes as the community reports.
