Royal Live Stock Show building advances in Kansas City
Work speeds forward on a new brick or concrete structure at the Kansas City Stock Yards to house the American Royal Live Stock show sheep swine poultry and horse and mule sections. The 286 by 472 foot building will hold about 25000 head and include a fire wall stall room lunch room and metal fencing with hay racks and water troughs. It will be among the largest show places under one roof in the country and hosts the October 9 to 14 event.

Exemptions vary by type and capacity with earth one hundred dollars and stone or concrete two hundred for acre feet. three ponds per quarter section. For four acre feet earth two hundred, stone three hundred. up to five such ponds per quarter section. Ponds require survey at county expense and may be built in three to ten days depending on soil and dam height. Drainage pipes or siphons are optional. portable and usable for several ponds. Ponds must be maintained all year and completed by March 1, 1912 for maximum benefit.
