Wellington's senior league teams faced a busy summer with multiple games. Templeton once supplied the Army Quartermaster Corps with dried fruit and faced a payment delay before a bill prompted payment. He and his wife raised two sons, Pat and Robert Lee. Pat died in 1958 in a freak car wreck. Robert Lee is a nurse at High Plains Baptist Hospital in Amarillo, married to Jan Phipps, with two sons Dillon and Jarred.
