RSVP volunteer annual recognition in Wellington
The 17th annual RSVP Volunteers Shining in the Nineties banquet honored retired senior volunteers on June 7 with 148 attendees. Nine honorees over 90 were named including Thula Wilson and Willie Tow. Mrs. J. Frank Johnson spoke of the Skyrockets football team he named. Caterers Country Grazia provided the meal as members received key chain flashlights.

Rommie Forbis 46 died June 7 1990 in Collingsworth General Hospital. Services were held June 9 at First Baptist Church Wellington with Rev. Joe Martin and Rev. Derwin Comer officiating. Burial in North Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers named. Survived by son Gregory Scot Forbis, parents, sister Judy Forrester. Funeral directors Schooler Gordon.
