Dodson Nazarene VBS Ends Sunday Program Highlighted
Dodson Church of the Nazarene runs Vacation Bible School this week ending Sunday June 8 with a program by children. Rev. Al Mixon announced plans. Each day includes crafts Bible stories recreation and music. A goldfish prize goes to the child who brings the most visitors. every visitor earns a goldfish. Miracle Sunday on June 8 directs offerings to foreign missions.

Dodson Nazarene Church Plans 80th Anniversary Homecoming
The Dodson Church of the Nazarene plans a day long homecoming on Sunday August 3 to mark the churchs 80th anniversary. District superintendent will speak Royal Aires will sing gospel singing in the afternoon and a noon meal will be served in the Dodson community building. Approximately 100 former pastors and long moved members have been invited. The church is one of the oldest in the denomination.

Senior Adult Day at Panfork June 5
Senior Adult Day will be observed Thursday June 5 at Panfork Camp with Baptist churches across the area taking part in fun fellowship and worship. Open to anyone 55 and older from 9 30 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a $4 cost and guest speaker Dr Floyd Bradley and music director Ron Long leading the programs.

Area group ponders industry for five Texas towns
Citizens from five area communities met in the Heritage Room on Tuesday night June 3 to discuss forming an area chamber of commerce. Summer School Offered to Students at Wellington High
Wellington High School will offer a summer program for students who failed courses. Wanda Cardwell, the school counselor, says students enroll in correspondence courses through Texas Tech University and attend 9 to 11 a.m. Mondays through Fridays under a facilitator. Bill Dyer, band director, will act as facilitator and mail lessons to Tech. Exams occur at course end. This program is distinct from Clarendon College credit courses.
