Quail Cemetery and Fair Echo 1930s Community Life
Recalling Quail's early days, residents buried during snowstorms faced scarce medicines and improvised remedies. The Quail Community Fair of 1936 to 1938 drew 2,500 to 3,000 visitors yearly with brass bands, contests, free drawings, a rodeo, and a Memphis Band performance, plus strong agriculture and livestock judging and community booths.
