The preacher links patriotism to faith, urging deep commitment to Christ beyond popularity. He cites John Adams and Abigail Adams, quotes Patrick Henry and the Declaration, and contrasts national independence with spiritual freedom found in Jesus. He recalls his own baptism in 1962 and closes with brief notes on Sylvester Graham and the origin of Fido.
