Thunder Mountain Mining Boosts Road Plans and Prospects

Thunder Mountain mining men led by Jack Schiefer and J M Fanburg press for a wagon road from Warren to the South Fork bridge to haul winter supplies, with pledges totaling 3000 from Schiefer, HLH Hunter, and Hollister. They report extensive winter development on Hollister, Hand & Carl, Crown, and Profile Creek groups, and note a new option on Overton properties.

At a Weiser meeting the Washington County Horse and Cattle Growers Association unanimously endorsed County Attorney W D Lovejoy for his work against the county’s criminal element. Open Letter to Socialists from Idaho Citizen J Spencer McCain

Cambridge Idaho October 20 1902 a Washington county citizen writes to Idaho Socialists explaining he is not aligned with the Socialist Party but urges voting for Democrats over Republicans. He accuses Republicans of aiding trusts and wealth concentration while noting Democrats show socialist leanings and support public utilities ownership and initiative referendum. He urges socialists to vote for the Democratic ticket to oppose a trust pledged Republican administration.
