Peacock ore body shows depth and promise at Peacock mine
Operations at the Peacock and South Peacock mines reveal a strong ore body with surface showings. Seventy-two workers and sixty teams support a $10,000 monthly payroll as 100 tons per day are mined and 2,000 tons of 36 percent copper ore stockpiled. The shaft deepens to 1,000 feet with levels every 100 feet and a diamond drill following the vein.

Boston & Seven Devils Copper Co Prepares 400 Tons Daily
Five cars are shipped from Decorah with ore worth about $1,000 per car. A 15 man force is paid, and the company drills over 3,000 feet to determine stored ore. The diamond region is being prospected as ore is gathered for rail transport to the smelter. The company expects to run no less than 400 tons daily for a year from current workings without new ground.
