The Thunder Mountain mining camp reports its first criminal case with Bill Borden, alias Sheep Herder Bill, on trial before Lige Woods and others. Borden is cleared of most charges. Conners the saloon keeper is fined. the case leads to a notably orderly camp atmosphere thereafter.

Miss Marguerite Watson and the Misses Curren hosted a ghost party on Hallowe'en night at Mrs. M. E. Sommercamp’s residence. The program featured traditional games and a midnight luncheon. Guests included Misses Watson Currin Lindsay Travis Edmunds Hall McBratney and Messrs Hall Churchill Elton Walker Judson Wulff Will Sommercamp.

Mrs Hattie Sharai was taken to Boise Monday afternoon to St Alphonsius hospital for an appendectomy. She has been ill about two weeks and her husband accompanied her. Friends in the city hope the operation will be successful and that she will recover quickly.

Friday evening in the city a large ghost party gathered at Edward McGrew’s residence. Young guests wore white sheets, enjoyed music, games, and a luncheon in a festive Witches Night setting with numerous attendees listed by name.
The second season of the farce A Wise Member played to excellent business at English's opera house last night. James Barrett built the entertaining piece, C. B. Marvin mounted it with a capable company, and Sam Mardy and Miss Maud Marvin drew strong applause for their natural, polished performances. The supporting cast and musical elements were praised for quality.
