At the hour of going to press the Mineral, Mann Creek, Rathbury, Upper and Lower Crane, and Bear precincts had not reported. The regular vote suggests Huntley and Galloway are certain to win, while majorities for other candidates are already well established.
Christian Church members report material being placed on the wall for the church to be erected. Stone is hauled in and an ark will begin shortly. The completed church is expected to be one of the finest in the city in the early spring. It is believed Northwestern plans to extend from St Anthony to the northwest touching Portland and other cities, with a Salt Lake City line among possibilities.
Rev L C Godschalx former pastor of Shoshone Catholic church is named pastor of the city church succeeding Rev Van Nistleroy who moves to La Pere Wisconsin. Godschalx will preach at the church next Sunday morning. A Virginia mother uses Chamberlains Pain Balm on her burned child with quick relief. The Balm is an antiseptic liniment for burns cuts bruises and sprains available from druggists. High grade cigars advertised at the post office.
C E Hayes of Boson, visiting Idaho, inspected the Givens and Names placer ground opposite Powder River mouth on Snake River. Ira and Mr. and Mrs., host, discuss placing a steam pump to raise water for living and mining. Hayes believes steam power can raise sufficient water and yield dividends when water handling dirt is adequate.
Advices state a surveying corps of the Chicago and Northwestern has completed preliminary surveys for the Fremont Elk Horn and Missouri Valley line from Casper Wyoming to St Anthony Idaho. It is believed construction of the proposed extension will not begin soon.
Special to the Signal from Boise reports preliminary Idaho results with Republican majorities by county totaling 4800 and a Democratic total 1425. The legislature is projected to be heavily Republican with 57 or 47 on joint ballot, while a separate notice discusses Cuban children education policy and potential debarment at Ellis Island with appeals planned to Commissioner Williams and the U S Treasury.
The county clerk issued a marriage license on October 22 to Lafayette M. Crosby and Mary L. Buchanan, both of Bourne.
The board of special inquiry at Ellis Island adjourned Monday without taking up the case of eleven Cu ban children who arrived Sunday.

The General Land Office report shows 6,250,000 acres disposed of in the past year. It urges repeal of existing timber laws on reserved public lands and replacement with a broad law protecting forests while allowing settlers and miners to obtain necessary timber. It calls for more wardens and agents, and a bill to empower the president to set apart national parks and scenic land for public use.
