Signal is pleased to report Mrs. O B Shirley has improved after a dangerous three days from erysipelas of the head. Doctors Maxey and McCalla were summoned from Boise. Rev J A G Stiverson and his wife and daughter left for Tekean Idaho to lead revival meetings for about a month, with no evening services in the Brethren church during his absence. H M Rothrock will conduct morning services. Stiverson had just returned from Idaho Palla on the same mission.

Northwest Fruit Growers and Idaho Horticultural Meet in Boise

The twelfth annual sessions of the Northwest Fruit Growers Association and Idaho State Horticultural Association will convene in Boise on January 16 17 and 18. Day meetings for the Growers and evening sessions for the Horticulturalists will feature a fruit and vegetable display. Members are urged to bring or send exhibits from their locality with hints to Welser and Washington county participants to contribute, as A F Hitt and other county reps plan to depart for Boise next Saturday and Sunday.

In Bucyrus Ohio a rural free delivery carrier found two letters left in a mailbox for an intended owner and moved them to the post office with a request for guidance. Washington approved the carrier action and held that mail in a box without proper postage must be collected and sent to the route’s home post office for postage.
