Wordenhoff Mine District Prospects In Snowbound Winter Work
Charles W. Luck, mining engineer, reports from the Big Creek Mining District on fresh free gold ore samples from the Wordenhoff and Werdenhoff mines. He notes 80 feet of shaft development, two shifts driving toward the ledge, and a 800 feet tunnel at Independent mine. Winter work continues but wagon road access is blocked by heavy snow and supplies are hard to truck in. Luck emphasizes the need for a road to transport machinery and sustain development as districts await a reduction plant.
