Boulder cyclist completes first roofed night since Anchorage
David Kimball of Boulder travels by Legnana racing bike from Anchorage to Seattle and on toward California. He arrived at the Chetwynd Hotel Monday after starting October 1 and averaging 50 to 80 miles daily, weather and roads permitting. He plans to cross to Africa and India if successful, carrying a hammock, sleeping bag, cooking gear, and two spare tubes. He notes head winds hinder him more than hills and that he will sleep under trees when on the road.
