In Santo Domingo Dominican Communists fail to broaden the quarrel into nationwide violence amid tactical errors. A split in Foupsa-Desistrada leadership, resignations of top officials, and violence against street stalls sparked protests and fear of larger clashes. Army and peace force actions limited rioting as right wing elements possibly joined to discredit the movement.

Police recovered the $2,500 diamond ring of the wife of a Canton steel executive in Hamilton Ohio. The ring arrived by mall Friday at the police station. its theft was reported December 10 by Jack Wilcox, president of Willeaff Morris Steel Co. at Canton.

Richard H. Freitag Sr. 76 formerly owned Dover Molded Products and founded Freitag Mfg Co in Akron. He died Friday at Akron General Hospital after a heart attack. Survived by widow Mabel two sons four daughters. Services Monday 2 p.m. at First Methodist Church Akron. Native of Cincinnati, expert mechanic and tool maker, traveled seeking work carrying tools in a paper bag. Worked for an Akron rubber company six years before starting his own tool and die firm in 1923, becoming a millionaire.
Dover obituary notices report the death of 76 year old Rev Clyde Rabe of 709 Cross Street. A former Four Square Gospel minister with pastorships in Coshocton Zanesville Alliance and Toledo No 2 Church he died while visiting son in law Rev and Mrs Russell Menges in Santa Clarita. Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Toland Herzig Funeral Home with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery. He is survived by his widow Viola two grandchildren and a stepson.
A Dallas debutante party led by heir Tuddie Lee Wynne arrived by chartered jet in New Orleans. About 40 couples and escorts toured the French Quarter despite heavy rain, with Wynne funding the event for his niece Wynne Chilton. The revelers moved through Bourbon Street while bands played and onlookers watched, as Wynne covered the tab.

John J. Kocevar former aide to Cuyahoga County Sheriff James McGettrick was found not guilty by a Garfield Heights municipal court jury of drunken driving. He testified the charge was a frame-up linked to a Valley View raid on the volunteer fire department clambake.
In Havana a radio newscast reported Cuban women will take full charge of poultry raising by 1966, with women already handling about half of poultry work. They will also assist in tobacco and vegetable farming next year in the drive to expand women’s farm roles.
Rome New York AP reports Patrolman Orlando Gulla responded to a skunk seen running in circles with a tin can atop its head. A passing high school student aided in removing the can. The skunk scampered away unharmed, leaving no salute.
An 82 year old woman died of apparently asphyxiation in a tavern fire in Cleveland. Stella Pickus, resident above the Cucamonga Lounge, was pronounced dead at St Luke's Hospital. Fire officials said the blaze cause is still not determined.
In Tucson, Lt. Col. Victor Anderson heads Selective Service in Arizona and spoke at the University of Arizona on the draft. He addressed whether the draft board is fair to college students as students appeared nonchalant about the topic. Less than a dozen students showed up.
Dr William Bevan vice president of Kansas State University resigns to accept a similar role at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore Maryland. Bevan 43 formerly taught at Heidelberg College Tiffin Ohio and Emory University Atlanta Georgia.
