Belcher posted bond for central district court and will appear later this month on speeding and license display charges.
Ronald Moffitt, 18, of 314 4th st NW, listed fair with concussion after a collision yesterday at 12 28 PM on 3rd st SW. Auto driver Charles May, 44, of 245 ard st SW, was cited for failure to yield. Both cars traveled opposite directions on Front and 3rd sts SW. May turned left in front of Moffitt. Witnesses say Moffitt attempted to stop but could not.

New Philadelphia police are seeking a 17 inch power lawn mower owned by Ed Livingston of 1358 4th St NW. Livingston says it disappeared from his garage between Friday and Monday, valued at 35 dollars.Harry Morrow of 1427 Kelly St NW reported a small bank stolen from his home and left at the police station for fingerprint dusting. the empty bank was returned by an unknown party. Police also received a window peeping complaint at 12 57 this morning from a Broadway resident.
A construction foreman escaped serious injury when several joists collapsed during the top deck placement at a state highway building project on West Highway extension in New Philadelphia. Employees of William Kreidler Inc. of Youngstown were working when the scafolding gave way. he suffered contusions but officials said the incident would not delay construction.
A blaze reported around 9 15 pm ignited a dunked auto at Walton s Auto Barts on Broadway and spread from a nearby lot. Firefighters contained the fire after officials called in a response from New Philadelphia authorities. No injuries were reported.
