Robbery at Covington Bank Ends in Capture and Sentences
Bank cashier resisted, robbers fled with about $1400. Laura Ward's alarm led a rapid posse to corner the duo south of Covington. William Dixon, 30, from Canada, and Evwart Crescent, 17, from Detroit, were jailed and sentenced to Michigan City and Jeffersonville respectively.

Mrs Lulu Grenard Swank wife of John Swank was taken to Culver Union Hospital Crawfordsville Wednesday morning where she underwent a surgical operation for appendicitis. Sunday Auto Accident West of Covington
S E Skaggs Dr E E Baldwin and wife Mrs Charles Jukens and two daughters were victims of a car crash five miles west of Covington on the Danville road Sunday. A passing auto forced the Skaggs car off the road. Mrs Jukens and Mr and Mrs Baldwin suffered injuries but are expected to recover. The other car was not damaged and all sought medical help in Covington.
