Sudden Death of Chester Two Farmer Benjamin Franco
Benjamin Franco aged 56, a well known Chester Two farmer, died suddenly Monday evening Oct 27 from apoplexy. He earlier suffered injuries from an accident and was reported recovering. Survived by wife and a 10 year old son. He was a member of the O.C.A.M. Funeral services were held Wednesday with interment at Wooster Cemetery.

Elizabeth Cady Stanton aged 87 and famed for her leadership in woman suffrage died Sunday October 26 at her home in New York City. The obituary notes her lifelong advocacy and influence on American reform movements.

Death of a Scientist at Ohio Station in Wooster
Fremont Hickman a leading agriculturist at the Ohio Agricultural Experiment Station died at his Wooster home after a typhoid fever attack aged 40 years. Born near East Liverpool he studied at Pennsylvania State College and led its experiment farm before joining Ohio’s station in 1888. He resided in Wooster ten years, was active in the Presbyterian church and survived by wife, a son and daughter. Funeral services Saturday featured Rev. H W Lowry and others. interment in Wooster cemetery.

Aj Boy Injured by Train Crossing Incident
Ray Rapp, 81, lives with sister Mrs Wo Painter on Pittsburg avenue, was badly injured last Thursday at the E Liberty crossing of the Pennsylvanias railway while crossing between coal train cars. Front tracks crushed the toes of his right foot. he was rescued and taken home. Surgeons Dr J H Tressel of Alliance and Dr Firestone decided to remove four crushed toes. The operation was performed and the boy recovered. Wm Painter, brother in law, works on the work train engine.

Horse Killed By Night Train Near Orrville
A passenger train on the Pennsylvania Lines struck a horse and buggy three miles west of Orrville Wednesday night, derailing the engine for an hour. The buggy owner was farmer David Waffle of Smithville. The horse, six years old, valued at 350 dollars, was converted into sausage and the buggy into kindling. The tiger gear allegedly loosened and wandered onto the track near Sugar Creek bridge.
