Parrish and Garver Wedding Ties Wooster to Lorain

Miss Maude Parrish and Dr. Charles Garver of Lorain wed at the Parrish home on N Market St Wooster. The ceremony occurred at 6 30 Tuesday morning October 7 with only immediate relatives present. The couple departed at 7 53 for a trio of trips to Philadelphia Washington and Baltimore before settling in Lorain.

Annual Report of Wooster Cemetery Association 1902

Annual report by clerk Jense McClellan shows 126 burials in the year ending Sept 30 1902 with 68 males and 58 females and a breakdown by age groups. It notes 66 deaths in Wooster city 29 in Wayne county 23 in the state and 94 nationwide with total burials reaching 4971.

Death of George Riley Power at 43 in Wooster

George Riley Power aged 43 years 4 months 22 days died Sunday morning Oct 6 at his home on South Market St from complications of a long illness. Born in Wooster he lived here all his life. He served as city marshal after being elected in 1883 and 1885 and as street commissioner in 1898. He worked for Minglewood Coal Co. and leaves wife and four children Cloe Fern William and James. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon.
