A collection of brief items notes births and marriages, arrests for drunkenness, medical and legal matters, school and church events, livestock movements, a chicken and poultry show, road work and new factories proposed, and town officials handling lawsuits. Names include Fred Leopold, Miss Viola Moales, Andrew J. Davis, Wayne and Ashland counties, and Wooster residents.
George W Leyda longtime Wooster ticket agent is transferred to Enon Pa to begin duties December 1. Wolf succeeds Leyda at Wooster. Culver freight agent promoted to Alleghany station. W A Rowe of Freedom Pa expected to succeed Oliver at Canton though not yet appointed.
John Ferris aged 21, a Pennsylvania Co extra brakeman from near Shreve, fell from a car in Orrville yards on Monday morning, suffering a crushed left foot and multiple injuries. He died at 3 PM the same day from the effects of his injuries. remains sent to Big Prairie for interment.
A special service celebrated the opening of the new organ at the German Evangelical Church at Grant and Henry streets last Wednesday evening November 26. Ralph Plumer presided. Ada Conrad sang solo. Emma and Ansa Diehl performed a duet. a quartet of Conrad, Anna Diehl, Emma Diehl, and Edith Stibley joined in hymns with the congregation. Rev J Digei of Massillon delivered the address.

The Progressive Farmers' Club met November 20 north of Wooster. After a dinner, Rev Lowry led prayer and discussions covered hired man questions. Mary White presented a life-like husband portrait. Mrs Thorne spoke on Washington state. Officers elected for 1903 include President M. M. Fowler and Vice President F. J. Heim.
Ohio plans a May 1903 centennial celebration in Chillicothe to mark the signing of the first state constitution by the 1802 Congress and to unveil a bronze tablet at the site of the first state house. The event honors early leaders including Edward Tiffin and Thomas Worthington with a public meeting and address by Elon John Ali of Iowa.
John Major lost his barn and contents in a Friday evening fire near the McAffee farm three miles west of Wonster. Incendiary origin suspected. 30 tons of hay 100 bushels of cote wheat and farm machinery burned. horses cattle and sheep saved.
County records show multiple transfers including F H Eicher to Wilson Long for lot 113 in Congress. Mary A Scott to Huldeh C Folk for Plain township acreage. and numerous Doylestown and Wooster parcels with prices from 50 to 4500. Notices include school district lots and a planned four story hotel block at W Liberty Street plus an office building for the Bix Eagles Mining Co.
