Samuel Taylor a respected Wooster resident died near noon Sunday at his Madison Hill home after a brief illness. A former teacher and farmer, he was born in Dauphin County Pa and moved to Wayne as an infant. He served as Wooster Township Trustee twice and supported the poor. He belonged to Wooster Methodist Church and Wooster Lodge I O O F. Survived by Afra Taylor and four children Mrs David Nice Fred Taylor Nona Taylor and Howard Taylor. Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the residence with service at the grave by I O O F. Interment in Wooster cemetery.
War Department records confirm Corporal Ephraim Yoder of Company K 22d Infantry was killed in action October 19 1899 at Bao Sandore Luzon Philippines. He was about 23, enlisted at Wooster and home at Welleraville. Legal settlement of accounts to be processed by the Auditor for the War Department Washington D C.

The National Relief Association leads a fundraising appeal to rescue about six thousand Armenian orphans. Missionaries in Armenia care for roughly two thousand. the rest must be saved quickly to counter Turk–Koord threats. Joane Brewer presides. Brown Brothers & Co. are treasurers. Rev. D. A. Newell solicits funds. twenty five dollars feeds and educates a child for a year in an orphanage.
Mrs John Pfaff aged 60 years 8 months 22 days widow of John Pfaff of 170 Fort Wayne Ave Wooster died of consumption just before noon Sunday She was born in Alsace Germany and had lived in Wooster since 1838 Survived by three children Chas Pfaff of Cleveland and Emma and Mary Pfaff who lived at home Funeral was held at 2 p m Wednesday from the residence with interment beside her husband in Wooster Cemetery
Clement Marshall son of Joseph Marshall of Doylestown dies in Barberton while working as a brake man for B and O Ry He is said to have fallen from a car into the track wheels mangling his body Funeral held at 2 p m Saturday in Doylestown.
Frederick Minion three years old, son of Fred Minion and his wife Columbus Avenue, died of membranous croup after a three day illness in Barberton. Funeral held at home Monday at 10 a m with interment in Wooster Cemetery.
Charles Winkler returned home from Cleveland to help care for his brother Edward. The Mickley farm will be sold on Saturday, November 25. Wa Rohr traveled to Alliance Ohio, last week. Miss Flasher of Weoater visits Jeptha Hoatetler and wife for the winter. David Greaser is on the sick list. Emmary Allaman moved his family north of Madisonburg last week. E. Q. John Phillip Kline died of Brights disease at his home 63 Spruce St at 6 am Sandau aged 77 years 7 months 11 days born Rhein Bavaria Germany and longtime Wooster resident since 1848 Mrs Kline and five children from a former marriage survive The funeral was held at 2 pm Monday with interment at Innocater
Mrs Margaret Mowery of Congress aged 73, aunt of County Surveyor H A Mowary, died Sunday morning in a local ailment. The obituary notes her family ties and long residence in the county.
Mrs. John Shamp, an aged theatergoer, was severely injured Monday when a cow slipped and fell on her in a theater setting. She was talking at the time and officials fear injuries may be serious. Herald subscription notice included.
