Remarkable Tendon Extension Operation Gives Hope to Youth
On Thursday afternoon March 7 Dr. Neal P Hardy assisted by Dr. J J Kinney performed an operation to elongate the tendons on Barry Schwoebel aged 18 of East Liberty Street. The boy has been unable to walk for two years due to rheumatism causing contracted tendons and ankle stiffness. Surgeons hope the procedure will allow him to walk again.

Death of George Grube
Wayne township farmer George Grube died at his home south of Madisonburg March 7 from paralysis at age 68. He was father of William Grube a Wooster stenographer. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon and interment followed at Wooster cemetery.

Last Friday morning Henry Jacoba, a worker on the P. Ft. W. & C. trains, sustained a severe injury when a tie fell on his right foot, mashing and breaking a bone. He received medical care and was returned to his Wooster home. Etlaworth Moreland, another employee, had two fingers on his right hand crushed by a falling tie.
