Sheep Claim Allowed: County Settles $261.60 Loss Claim

On a Thursday afternoon the county commission allowed the claim for sheep losses by dogs amounting to 261 dollars and 60 cents. The decision covers the damage to livestock and outlines the compensation to the claimant.

Mrs Sophia Blanchard Dies Near Mt Eaton After Long Illness

Mrs Sophia A Blanchard died at her daughter Mrs C C Harrold’s home near Mt Eaton on Monday December 6 at about 71 years. Born in France she came to America in 1849 and to this county about 40 years ago. For seven years she lived with her daughter and endured a year of constant suffering with Christian patience. Funeral services were held at 10 am Wednesday at the Presbyterian church Mt Eaton Rev W E Shaw officiating. Remains interred in Mt Eaton cemetery.

Death of Miss Margaret McGregor in Wellsville area

Telegram from Wooster reports the death of Mioa Margaret McGregor age about 24 daughter of Mrs. Mary McGregor of East Bowman street at her uncle’s home near Wellsville from typhoid fever. She was a Wooster High School graduate class of 1893 and taught in Wellsville before falling ill. Funeral was held Tuesday morning conducted by Rev. H. F. Lowry of Wooster Presbyterian church with interment in the family burying ground near Wellsville.
