Stark County Tragedy Reveals Fatal Family Night in 1899
A Cleveland area report details a jealous murder suicide from August 8 1899 in Waco involving Eckinger and his wife and infant daughter. The wife allegedly shot her husband and baby then killed herself after razor wounds and a pistol in a dramatic sequence. A note found on ABERTHAE indicates despair over infidelity and a plan to reunite the family in death. The piece also notes probate court actions and a Toledo hospital commitment for Amelia Miller among other court items.
