Obituary: Frank Horner of Shreve Dies After Illness

Frank Horner of Shreve died Tuesday morning August 1 after a lingering illness. He married Blanche Stough on October 4, 1894 at Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. The funeral was held at 1 p.m. last Thursday conducted by Rev. G. F. Orites. Interment followed at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Greasman Groseman Died in Kent County

Mrs Maggie Groseman of Kent Died August 4 from inflammation of the bowels. She was a daughter of Jacob Myera of Overton. The funeral was held Sunday at Bethel Church in Overton.

Oil Rigs Operate at Ledt and Overton Election News

Three oil rigs are active at Ledt led by John Seanor of Beaver Falls and H B Odenkirk, with N F Hackday of Lima ready to drill Bell farm. The Ohio adjutant general announces a second election for regimental officers of the 8th Infantry after a July 28, 1899 vote, naming a lieutenant colonel and two majors, with Akron nominating convention on August 7 and ballots cast between 2 and 10 pm on August 4. An excursion by the W and L E B B is planned for Sunday August 20 to 28 between Norwalk and Valley Junction.
